Recently, the China Cultural Center in The Hague interviewed two Dutch travel professionals, Tom and Sebastian, who visited Jilin Province in China last December as part of the “Dreamy Jilin” winter tourism familiarization trip. Both guests noted that Jilin offers abundant winter tourism resources and diverse cultural experiences. From the snowy landscapes of Changbai Mountain and rafting on the Songhua River to ethnic culture, local cuisine, and museum visits, the trip left them with a strong and lasting impression. As tourism professionals, they believe Jilin holds strong international appeal in areas such as winter sports, family-friendly travel, and cultural experiences, and they plan to actively promote Jilin’s winter tourism routes to the Dutch market.

The two travel professionals also offered several suggestions for further improving the experience for international visitors, including providing more multilingual museum interpretation, developing audio guide systems, strengthening international promotion, and using visual storytelling to better showcase the scale and uniqueness of Jilin’s winter tourism. At the end of the interview, both guests expressed their hope to participate in similar familiarization trips in the future and to introduce more Dutch travelers to different regions of China. The China Cultural Center in The Hague stated that it will continue to promote Chinese culture and tourism resources in the Netherlands and across Europe through cultural events, tourism promotion, and international cooperation. The goal is to help more international visitors learn about China, experience China firsthand, and foster greater mutual understanding and friendship among people from different countries through tourism.
