
On November 29, the China Cultural Center in The Hague hosted the event Explore China: Travel Stories and Practical Tips. Tom Lops, an experienced tour leader at TUI with extensive experience from nearly 30 trips to China, shared captivating stories and practical advice. He highlighted iconic destinations such as Beijing, Xi’an, and Sichuan’s Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, as well as the lesser-known Holland Village in Jiangsu, inspired by Dutch engineer Hendrik de Rijke.

In addition to travel tales, Tom provided practical guidance on navigating China, including using digital payment platforms like Alipay, shared bikes, and Didi taxis. The audience, comprising travel enthusiasts from across the Netherlands, gained valuable insights into China's culture, natural beauty, and modern conveniences, leaving many inspired to plan trips to China.
