24 Sep, Gansu Culture and Tourism Day: Register now

Stretching over thousands of years, the Silk Road winds through Gansu Province, a golden segment of this ancient trade route. From east to west, it links remarkable cities like Pingliang, Tianshui, Lanzhou, Wuwei, Zhangye, Jiuquan, Jiayuguan, and Dunhuang. Along this exquisite travel route, you can witness the majestic Qilian Mountains capped with snow, the vast expanse of deserts and Gobi landscapes, the stunning and mysterious Yardang landforms, ever-flowing springs and wetlands, and exquisite ancient murals and sculptures.

On September 24th, 2024, the China Cultural Center in The Hague, in collaboration with the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, will host the opening event of A Moonment to Remember: Gansu Culture and Tourism Promotion. The Gansu delegation will present a variety of captivating programs, including traditional acrobatics and magic shows, as well as the mesmerizing "Flying Apsaras" dance, which captures the essence of Dunhuang art. Attendees will also have the chance to savor Gansu’s signature dish—Lanzhou Beef Noodles.
